A Witness told California Highway Patrol officers that he heard tires screeching behind him and moments later a car had crashed into a tree.</p><p>Rescue crews arrived on the scene and were able to extract the drier of the vehicle. He was transported by helicopter to a nearby hospital. </p><p>The crew was able to free the passenger shortly after.
